Launch of GeekySports Blog

First of all: Welcome to GeekySports.com! This is the first entry of a new project I was thinking about a long time ago.

I always thought of blogging about sports and then about publishing content in English. First of all I have to admit, that I really want to improve my English for that reason!

So if you see really bad language mistakes please bear with me and - perhaps more important - leave me a comment or write me an email. This would really help improving my English

So what is this Blog about?

Some time ago I started running with the Nike+ Sport Kit which is a tracking device for iPod nanos. Surprisingly my motivation to run more and faster rose to an unexpected point. Next to my running activity I do a lot of workouts at my local fitness center.

So I got more interested in every kind of sport gadgets. There are simple ones, like a normal pedometer and some more sophisticated which have an internal GPS device for example

What is this left sidebar about?

Ok, webhosting in Germany is - compared to the US - not very cheap. So I was thinking about some advertisement on my blog to redeem those costs. I personally think that some ads are O.K. as long as they don’t popup or worse: Flash plugins where you don’t know what to click after they appear. I will try Google Adsense for this reason. I’d love to hear your opinion!

Who is this guy and where is he comming from?

My name is Markus and I am a 22 year old student from Germany / Münster. I will try to write more soon in an “about” page of this blog.

Where is the content? What am I doing here?
